International Neutrino Summer School 2023

The 14th International Neutrino Summer School (INSS) will be hosted at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois from August 7 to 18, 2023, sponsored by the Neutrino Physics Center (NPC) at Fermilab.

For the past fifteen years, the International Neutrino Summer School has convened at locations around the world to provide training for the next generation of neutrino physicists in both theory and experiment. The school brings together graduate students and postdocs, along with some of the best teachers and researchers in neutrino physics. It provides an intensive two-week-long learning experience in an open and interactive environment that covers the full range of modern neutrino physics.

The curriculum will cover theoretical and experimental aspects of neutrino physics, including neutrino oscillations, accelerator and reactor neutrinos, solar and atmospheric neutrinos, neutrino cross sections, neutrino mass models, and neutrinos in cosmology and astrophysics. Students will also engage in group projects and presentations, and have the opportunity to present an individual poster on their current research. Students will be housed in a hotel close to the lab, and ample time will be provided to meet and socialize with other students, and instructors, outside of scheduled school activities.

Applications are now open and will close on March 31st 2023. Any students that wish to attend INSS 2023 should ensure that their application and letter of support from their supervisor have been submitted by that date.
